Catching fish for dinner in Mississippi!

We spent two nights at Airey Lake campground in Saucier, Mississippi. Day temps were in the 60s and nights were in the 40s. We were able to find the perfect spot to park right in front of the 3 acre lake! We were so excited to go fishing the next morning that we decided to wait and do school at night. That is one of the great things about homeschooling is having the flexibility to do it when you want! We caught 3 big bass within the first hour of fishing! We were thankful for the quick success because a huge thunderstorm rolled in.

The kids were able to learn another great life skill today when Ricky taught them to clean the fish they caught. 🙂 Now they can all bait their own hooks, catch fish and get them cleaned up. Alison and I had fun together in the kitchen preparing the fish to eat for dinner! We ended the day by reading books and watching Beetoveen. The next day we packed up and headed to Louisiana!
